At Jepson Holt I would say we have one foot in Gryffindor and the other foot in Ravenclaw. We have incentives to drive productivity (a Gryffindor quality) but not at the expense of quality (a Ravenclaw quality). We refine our products to make sure they are high quality (as a Ravenclaw would) because we want to be the best in our industry (as expected by Gryffindor).
Saying that, if you were to take the business back to basics, we may even qualify for Hufflepuff. We fundamentally exist to enrich peoples lives by providing trusted career advice. As such, community matters to us immensely and this is reflected within the culture of our business.
How did we decide which company belongs to which house? You know we came up with our own company culture-specific house descriptions. Then, we reached out people from each of the companies to ask them which description they felt best suited their company culture. For the companies that didn’t get back to us, we used a combination of the companies’ mission and value statements expressed on their sites, and Glassdoor employee reviews, to decide who goes in what house.
