I studied a toxicology module within my masters degree and so the terminology in this article makes sense to me. What is unexpected however, is that caffeine from coffee is treated by our bodies in the same way as it treats toxins. This is a scary thought for someone who has at least 2 cups of coffee a day.

What makes it worse, is that for some people, there are no nasty side effects as they metabolise caffeine very rapidly. Whilst for those who metabolise caffeine slowly, they put their bodies at risk to much more sinister side effects. And I have no idea which one I am...
