It is great to hear a female success story, and one day I hope all women in the legal sector can say the same. Unfortunately, a woman's personal circumstances still seems to have a massive role in how her career pans out, such as familiar and marital support structures for childcare purposes. Law firm culture change can make this less of a factor through flexible working for both male and females. Ultimately, men have a very important role to play in long term gender equality.
