I can understand why a lot of people feel a bit terrified when it comes to networking, especially early on in your career. 

There is the pressure to make a lasting impression within a short space of time, whilst battling the dreaded mind-blank. You don't want to appear moronic, you want to sound knowledgeable and spark interesting conversation, but you feel like you lack the confidence to lead a flowing conversation that isn't based on last nights football.

Although articles like these can be helpful, actually your networking is more likely to improve with the 'Practice makes Perfect' mentality.  So go out there and give it a go!
