The Law Society are suggesting that as technology evolves, existing firms will employ fewer solicitors as more of what they currently do is done by paralegals or machines....whilst on the face of it, this may be true...a machine will never be able to go out and develop new business or win new clients.

Therefore, mid-level solicitors must stay ahead of the curve by improving their business development skills before it is too late. As otherwise, the younger generation, who are more akin to the need to business develop, will become more relevant as they push onward and upwards through the ranks....something to think about....
